The progressive growth of marine traffic on a global scale offers the Port of Montreal a host of development opportunities that can bring considerable economic benefits to the region.

Montreal’s highly advantageous location in the Ontario-Quebec Trade Corridor, through which 70% of Canada's international trade transits, enables the Port of Montreal to look forward to a sustained increase of shipping traffic. This will benefit regional commerce as a whole, and the transport and logistics industry in particular.
