Alain Giguère
President
CROP
Hired by CROP in 1981 as a Project Director and
Methodology Consultant, Alain Giguère has been the company’s
President since 1987. Today, CROP is one of the country’s
leading marketing research and opinion survey firms servicing clients
in both the private and public sectors.
A graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal
(Bachelor of Sociology) and Université de Montréal
(Masters in Demography), Alain taught research methodology at the
Université du Québec à Montréal for
several years.
In addition to his duties as President of CROP, due to his exhaustive
research knowledge regarding markets and social change, Alain actively
provides consulting services to numerous clients in order to assist
them with their marketing and communications strategies.
CROP offers its clients several research and consulting programs
like the 3SC — a research tool focusing on socio-cultural
change and its impact on companies and institutions — the
Satisfometre, the Food Monitor, the Human Resources Program as well
as ethnographic studies designed to enable them to take proactive
measures in terms of planning and to take highly informed strategic
decisions. CROP also offers its clients an opportunity to participate
in CROP-Express, a monthly omnibus survey.
Alain’s incomparable talent as a communicator make him a
very respected and sought after public speaker. He participates
in numerous conferences across Canada and addresses diverse audiences
including members of the business community, the media and public
who value his insights regarding current events, market trends and
social change in general.
Thanks to his enthusiasm and talent for popularization, Alain possesses
a unique ability to express highly complex issues and research results
in a manner that is always clear, colourful and concise.
