Robert St-Denis has held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of La Capitale Financial Group since May 2007. He is responsible for managing the Group's operating activities
and coordinating acquisitions, mergers and investments.
His responsibility also extends to overseeing La Capitale's Life and Health Insurance operations, a role he has fulfilled since joining La Capitale in January 2004.
Mr. St-Denis has extensive management experience within the manufacturing and financial services industries. He was Chief Executive Officer of Biltrite Nightingale Inc. before joining the ranks of the Desjardins Group in 1987, where he held various senior management positions, notably with Visa Desjardins, Desjardins Payroll Services and Sécur Inc., before being appointed Senior Executive Vice-President of Desjardins Financial Security in 1996.
An accountant by training, Mr. St-Denis holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal (Montreal School of Higher Commercial Studies).
Mr. St-Denis is highly active in terms of social involvement, both as an honorary member of Oxfam Quebec and as President of Le Grand Chemin, a foundation helping young people with alcohol, drug, medication or gambling dependency issues.
