Biography

Marie-Claude joined Clearspring as a partner in September 2015. Marie-Claude is involved in all facets of Clearspring’s operations, including the building of Clearspring’s presence in Quebec. She has more than 20 years of private equity, operational and financial experience, which she acquired in Canada and Europe, and she provides the Clearspring team with transaction and sector expertise along with a proven track record of returns. Marie-Claude currently sits on the Demers Ambulances Board of Directors and also chairs Réseau Capital’s Board of Directors. In addition, she has been a member of the Board of Directors at Telecon, Town Shoes and Logistik Unicorp.

Before joining Clearspring, Marie-Claude was a managing partner at Kilmer Capital Partners where she was responsible for the firm’s investment activities in Quebec, including deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management. During this time, she served as Altasciences’ interim Chief Operating Officer and sat on the Board of Directors at Atelka, Coalision and Altasciences. Prior to her seven years at Kilmer, Marie-Claude was Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Greiche & Scaff, one of Montreal’s leading retailers in the optical domain. She can also draw on her investment banking experience, acquired with Goldman Sachs in London as well as on the audit and corporate finance experience she gained at KPMG in Montreal.

Marie-Claude is a chartered accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC in Montreal and an MBA from INSEAD.

Marie-Claude is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Lise Watier Foundation and the Fonds de développement du Collège Jean de Brébeuf.
