Héma-Québec

Héma-Québec’s Core Mission to Serve all Quebecers

Héma-Québec has been part of the Québec landscape for 25 years. A key figure in the healthcare system, it is largely associated with blood donations. Its portfolio of activities, however, includes a multitude of expertise ranging from plasma, platelet, stem cell, cord blood, breast milk and human tissue donations, to reference laboratory services, not to mention its important research and development component.
Héma-Québec cannot fail in its essential mission of delivering products of biological origin to Québec’s hospitals. Therefore, it faces many complex challenges, as President and CEO Nathalie Fagnan will explain in her presentation.
The organization's ambitions are both bold and well thought-out. Héma-Québec adapts to disruptions and new developments, and continues to evolve in order to focus on the essence of its mission: to heal life with life.

Nathalie Fagnan

Nathalie Fagnan cut her professional teeth at KPMG, before making her way into the service industry. She spent 17 years climbing up the ranks at Publicis Groupe, the world’s third-largest communications group. She eventually rose to become a C-level financial management executive, serving as Publicis Canada’s executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Quebec and Canadian markets for a little over nine years.

She later made a career move to Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton (RCGT), the largest chartered accounting firm in Quebec, where she served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer for two years. The firm saw a major shift during this time.
