Alain Champagne has been the President and CEO of Le Groupe Maurice since October 2022. In a context where societal challenges are becoming increasingly complex and diverse, this seasoned leader is convinced that opportunities to become agents of change and collective improvement are just as varied and significant. With this perspective, he is dedicated to the continuous growth and evolution of the company, drawing inspiration from the profound values instilled by his predecessor and Le Groupe Maurice founder, Luc Maurice.
Alain has accumulated over 30 years of experience in distinguished global enterprises. His journey includes executive leadership roles at Optimé International, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. He has also held the presidency at McKesson Canada and Groupe Jean Coutu. In his current role, Alain collaborates closely with the Management Committee. Together, they define Le Groupe Maurice’s direction, covering both its ongoing operations and its future trajectory.
Recognized for his human-centric leadership style coupled with a strong focus on achieving results and enhancing the customer experience, Alain is also deeply engaged in his community. He is driven by a strong desire to apply his professional experience for the betterment of organizations close to his heart. Eager to make a tangible impact in society, he has been actively involved with Leucan, the Cancer Research Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, Centraide of Greater Montreal and Parkinson Quebec, among others.
More recently, he established the Amélie Champagne Fund in honour of his daughter, who passed away in 2022. This fund is dedicated to upholding Amélie's legacy of compassion through two major areas: Lyme disease and psychological distress.
Alain, along with his wife Joanne and their son Mathieu, reside in the greater Montreal area and share a love for cycling, jogging and skiing. They also share a deep-seated passion for exploring new horizons through travel and relishing enjoyable evenings in the company of friends.
