For nearly 20 years, she has played a key role in the family business. Until June 2025, she held the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing, where she helped steer the company’s expansion to 20 hotels, 15 restaurants, and three distinct banners. She continues to lead digital distribution strategy, guest experience, and employer brand positioning, always with the goal of celebrating and elevating authentic local hospitality. Her responsibilities now include overseeing the information technology department.
She is also closely involved in the development of new properties, ensuring a thoughtful integration of operational efficiency, welcoming design, and company culture. Her human-centred vision of tourism emphasizes a refined yet accessible hospitality, powered by local talent and rooted in the communities the company belongs to.
She holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University and an EMBA from McGill- HEC Montréal, Marie Pier currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Canada Council for the Arts. She has also sat on the boards of Tourisme Montréal, the Lab-École, and the Greater Montréal Hotel Association.
She regularly speaks at conferences and industry events on subjects close to her heart: succession, women’s leadership, and guest experience, with the goal of advancing practices and inspiring the next generation. As the third generation at the helm, he brings renewed energy to a legacy shaped by entrepreneurship, purpose, and a forward-looking vision.
With a strong background in business development in the retail sector and an MBA from Queen’s University, Hugo officially joined the company in 2006.
