Biography

Pierre Fitzgibbon

Mr. Fitzgibbon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal and is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Québec. Before entering politics, he was a managing partner at Walter Capital Partners, a private equity firm, from 2015 to 2018.
From 2007 to 2014, Mr. Fitzgibbon was President and CEO of Atrium Innovations, and from 2002 to 2007, he worked for the National Bank Group, where he held the position of Vice President of National Bank Financial, among others.
Previously, Mr. Fitzgibbon held positions in finance, corporate development and business development at Telesystem International Wireless, Chase Capital Partners Hong Kong, Domtar and Peerless Carpet Corporation. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in auditing and consulting.
Mr. Fitzgibbon has been the Minister of Economy and Innovation since 2018, and in October 2022, he added the responsibility for Energy and the Montréal Region to his portfolio.
